This fine Victorian photograph album contains 268 prints dating from about 1855 to 1861, on 83 exquisitely hand-decorated
pages. It measures 36.5 × 27.0 cm (14 ⅜ × 10 ½″). The album was compiled by Mrs. Charlotte
Ricardo, wife of Albert Ricardo. The Ricardos lived at Ray Mead Cottage in Maidenhead, a Thames riverside town, four miles
from Windsor Castle and 29 miles west of London.
