Worcester Lodge is the grand entrance lodge to the Badminton estate at the northern end of the avenue leading to Badminton House, which is three miles long. Built in 1746 by William Kent as a “pleasure dome”, it contains a dining room on the upper floor, so it could be used as a banqueting pavilion, with a splendid view of the main house. Because of its classical style and elegance, it is considered to be “the loveliest lodge in England”.
